Comings and goings

It has been a very busy few days. I went to a launch party in Sheffield on Thursday night given by a development company, and I was inordinately amused by the VIP wristbands we were given - probably my first and last time at being a VIP!

Then it was Saltaire with my German on Friday night followed by Saturday in Nottingham with Midland Leg, which was a great evening and included a summary of that day's SCA meeting! Then on Sunday I went to Bury St Edmunds and finished up with a curry in Leicester on Monday night.

Got to see my friend Emma's baby in Bury and he is very very cute. I forgot to take any photos until after he was asleep though, better luck next time.

I should be off for a meal at an old workmate's house tomorrow night. One day I might get time to tidy my own home.

My sister's husband had a scooter accident today and broke his elbow. He's had an operation to put a pin in it and I am waiting for further news. I do hope he's ok, very upsetting for him and my sister, and it may cause problems with their move to England if he can't drive.

Annoying

I've started getting spam comments so I've hidden my blog from blogspot and switched on the comment moderation. Apologies to friends who comment but I want to minimise the spam!

Busy bee

I've been very busy at work at the moment, and I've even had to bring work home with me. I was in Bury St Edmunds at the weekend and am at a reunion in Nottingham this weekend, then on to Bury again on Sunday. The next two weekends after that are also in Bury. I am not free for a whole weekend in the middle of December. It's pretty tiring, but apart from not seeing enough of my German it is all good stuff. My German is spending Christmas with my folks this year (we are only going on Christmas Eve until Boxing Day and staying in a nearby hotel - I know that my family en masse is hard to take for a whole day!).

My friend Selina has had a baby boy - Christopher. I think Octopus in particular will be interested in that! I have pictures on email if anyone wishes to see.

Deutschland
