Happy New Year!
A happy New Year to one and all. I think it's time to make a few resolutions, and maybe by writing them here for others to read I might even stick to them! Here we go...
1. I shall attempt to eat a healthier diet and do some exercise.
2. I will start hillwalking again in February so as to be in shape for Easter this year.
3. I will make more effort to see old friends and try to get them to visit me (it is lovely up here in Yorkshire, do come and visit!).
4. I will take a holiday outside of the EU and get a stamp on my passport.
5. I will make my German go out and about with me as I think we need to explore the local area.
That'll do for now - if anyone has any others they feel that I should add then let me know!

Give us a shout if you want to come and play in the lovely south west and south wales hills - we've got cotswolds, mendips, quantocks, beacons and some very nice pubs.
Happy new year to you too Deshni - here's hoping I finally get to meet your German and see that this part of your degree was not wasted.

A visit to the south west sounds tempting - I may take you up on that. My German just made me go for a long walk in the rain after he quoted my own resolutions to walk more and explore my local area back at me!
